To provide the fastest Internet connection to customers, UDomain is proud to announce that 1Gb dedicated local bandwidth which directly connects to HKIX (Hong Kong Internet eXchange) is now added to our infrastructure. Furthermore, new network equipments and routers are being invested to enhance the network connection.
HKIX is an Internet exchange point located in Hong Kong. The cooperative project is initiated, coordinated and operated by the Information Technology Services Centre of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The aim of the HKIX is to connect the Internet Access Providers (IAP) so that intra-Hong Kong traffic can be exchanged locally without routing through the US. This helps to ensure a faster and less expensive access to local sites.
On top of the 1Gbps local bandwidth, UDomain also provides 80Mb international bandwidth (connecting to NTT of Japan, China Telecom & China Unicom) so as to provide a good quality of worldwide information transmission channel. Compared with other hosting providers which share network with data centre, UDomain’s dedicated bandwidth is able to provide a faster, more secured and protected Internet network to our valuable customers.
