As online teaching became a trend amid class suspensions brought by the epidemic situation, online platforms and conference apps have seen a sudden and huge increase in demand, which created some issues since then.
One major problem was that students living outside Hong Kong have limited or no access to learning material. There was also a problem for these students to submit their homework online. And with conference apps became necessary for teaching and meeting, their security are many people’s concern. Another concern was hackers intruding database through system loopholes or human errors.
To address these concerns and provide solutions, representatives of HKEdCity and UDomain have shared their experience with over 100 participants in a webinar. Addressing the concerns, we have introduced some of our key services in the course of the webinar, such as:
- Content Delivery Network (CDN): connect students in Hong Kong and China and provide them with stable video playing and online learning environment.
- Remote Desktop: files can be downloaded smoothly regardless of geographical locations.
- OwnCloud: let you upload files to Google and OwnCloud platforms simultaneously, facilitating online learning outside Hong Kong.
- Phishing email test: examine your employees’ awareness against phishing email and provide training accordingly.
- Mobile live streaming: Just one click at the link and your audience can watch HD live video. Safe and easy.
