CNNIC has announced that starting 14th December 2009, all new ".CN" applications must require copies of business registration and personal identity card.
To secure the benefits of domain name holders, CNNIC has announced that starting 14th December 2009, all new ".CN" applications must require copies of business registration and personal identity card.
CNNIC is hoping that new arrangements will help eliminate inappropriate and illegal uses of domain names, while also tackling phishing websites, and ultimately making the Internet a safer place.
As for existing ".CN" websites, CNNIC explains, "we won't be rushing to close down any existing websites, especially those currently in legal use. However, in cases which we would, websites will be informed prior to any action."
